We turned the children’s poems into art installations and transformed the fountain into a summer-night rainforest.
Climb the stairs to the little loft and lean out the window to say hello. Here, we dart in and out, just like when we used to hide and share secrets as kids.
To the left is the staircase; to the right is the slide. The saying adults often use—“in one ear and out the other”—has been turned into a game of joy for the kids: climbing up on the left and sliding down on the right.
We “raised” the sprinklers in the pool, and when the overhead sprinklers on the lawn turned on, the evening breeze, the lights, and the mist combined to create a scene where no one could resist getting the hem of their shirt wet on this sweltering summer night.
